As I am having simple conversation with Amara's mom, Donna,

{halftime break during a Rain or Shine -Alaska match}

I manage to steal this shot  ...

Personally, I  So, So  Adore this Very Simple Portrait  ...

 Why SO ??

Seems all the Elements are in the "right place"  .....

from the color of the blouse / the ANGLE of the shot [shoulders suggesting a forward motion] / the cropping out of the head at the right amount with some wavy strands curving from the right portion of the image / the WHITE of Amara's healthy Teeth / the WHITE T-shirt [of the guy behind] so craftily positioned on the background, to complement Amara's FUSCHIA  blouse {creating a "crescent" of sorts"} - notice how the white border goes all the way down ... /  another girl's RED blouse in the FAR background - ERGO - the"Fuschia-White-Red" Combo Giving a "Flowery-Feminine" touch /  the perfect timing for the shot /  the right Nuance and Balance AND Caress of Available light  --- 

--- Notice the Outline CURVE of Amara's forehead converging with the Outline of the Bridge of Amara's Nose converging with the Outline of Amara's right Cheek, which in turn, properly "frames" Amara's smile

 {lips and teeth} - Perfect !

---then her cute little chin "floats" on that sea of white, leading to a lil' baby fat on her neck, then her little shoulders defined by her Fuschia blouse {suggesting some class} {nothin' wrong with that -Right?}

Certainly NOT a Perfect Shot - Where are the catch-lights in 

Amara's Eyes ??    There are None - Yet, the other Elements have been so

smartly composed to make this On-the-Spot Available Light Portrait

Satiate my Artistic Soul .....

Working with What's Available {particularly w/"available light"} IS Sometimes easy and IS Sometimes Diffucult  ..... It's always an unpredictable case-to-case scenario

But it's Just What I Deal With

Aces Outlast Painters

to Take a 3-2 Lead

Game 5 - Final { Aces - 93  Painters - 88}

Not Really - Calvin Abueva's just so exciting to watch [never a dull moment, bro].  The Beast always plays as if it were his last. 

The Aces wouldn't be where they are now WITHOUT Abueva.

   

Not To Take Anything Away 

from Sonny Thoss [in white] {Game #5's MVP} who may not be as colorful as Abueva .....  yet, #7, too, is ANOTHER reason why Alaska is now only a win away from the PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

The Painters and the Aces had to bleed for every single basket, as both camps were merciless on the defensive end

  

   

Alaska, again proved more steady - even after both teams "taken turns" having runs.

Yes, It's Not how one Starts but how one Finishes that Counts in the End ...Still ..... We PBA die-hards have to wait 4 days into 2015, to find out IF Alaska can end it all or IF the very capable Elasto Painters will Prevail on Game #6.

  Santos' last-second slam seals SMB's 4-0 Semis Sweep 

How do ya beat an opponent that shoots 59% from the field and hauls down 12 more rebounds than you?  At the least, shoot at a higher percentage yourself, rebound more - whatever .....

Leo Austria's Beermen shoot 59% from the field [TnT-38%] and control 52 rebounds [TnT-40].  Talk n Text tastes the lead for only 52 seconds [1-0] but the rest of the way, San Miguel steals show.
