PS - I have a few moments with FEU Tamarraw Anthony Hargrove way long after all the Ecstatic Archers have left, and some FEU players are still soberly trickling out of the MoA Arena.  I just had to find a discreet way to capture his demeanor - if only to share such private moments, that are part and parcel of the sports experience. [Am glad it is OK with Anthony]. 

 Thank You Anthony.

No doubt, Sports is an ideal metaphor for Life.  I feel my own emotions, and life experiences mirrored every single time I finally get to sift through my sports imagery [when I get home after a match].  If I myself am not compelled by my own images, how do I expect others to be so, too?

 That IS Sports Journ for me.

Bumped into these young La Sallians [from Taft ] inside the MoA Arena Press Room recently. They appeared interesting to me so I took their pictures.

It's so instinctive for me to just shoot random/impromptu "snaps" of people -- here, there, wherever, whenever - specially if they ARE comfortable being together - [and I'm in the mood] and are comfortable enough to be themselves in front of me.  It IS that simple.

A few days after getting to watch the DLSU Green Archers in training, I get the opp to watch the UST Growling Tigers train - this time, inside the new Quadrecentennial Gym at UST.  There is also a Gatorade shoot that goes on as I take stills.  

One thing different, though, from my visit to the DLSU session - Karim Abdul, Teng, Fortuna, Afuang, Bautista, Daquioag, Ferrer are ALL my acquaintances - so it just lightens the working environs.

Hands On Session

Up Close & Frontal [Vulnerable]

On this fine Tuesday morning I observe, besides taking stills and HD Videos,

 a Journalism Class Hands-On Exercise where the coeds take turns [time limit is approx 2-3 min] going in front of a TV camera to say something about themselves. It is a challenge, to say the least, for most of the students. A select few actually relish the opp, while some hesistently take to the stage but eventually manage to breeze through their impromptu spiels, but only after a few uneasy moments.  All in all it is a fun exercise, punctuated with sudden bursts of laughter, applause and cheers and "way to go dude/girl !" moments.
