Sure, the Loyola Meralco Sparks last match [Battle for Third - RHB Cup, Singapore], was a painful loss to swallow - but I 'd rather not dwell on that, but rather remember the boys for the lighter moments during our fourth

[and last for this year] trip to Singapore.

 Portraits On A Plane - -

One of my most interesting weekends [this year] began with portraits being taken in Greenbelt last Friday afternoon [Oct.26] and ended with more portraits being taken inside a Cebu Pacific plane, in flight,  [Singapore to Manila]  last Monday afternoon [Oct.29].

Flew to Singapore over the weekend - to cover a football match between the Loyola Meralco Sparks FC and the Gombak United FC [Singapore Cup - Battle for Third]

Did my job shooting digital stills of the match [Sunday  5:45 p.m. onwards]

[please refer to the previous post].  But besides that, [and as usual], I managed to shoot an arbitrary number lot of on-the-spot portraits wherever/whenever possible.

The pictures that follow are just select few of my favorite shots of the persons named in the title.  I [intentionally] am not matching the names with the randomly arranged photos for the simple reason that it's the light/happy/cheerful demeanor of the people mentioned that concerns me most coming across - through a few select images.

Last Match for Meralco

Running For Third Place

RHB Cup, Singapore 

Gombak United FC  vs  Loyola Meralco Sparks FC 
October 28, Sunday
Jelan Besar Stadium

The Loyola Meralco Sparks came into the Battle for Third, in high spirits,

but that was all negated when Gombak, within the first 15 minutes, 
scored two goals.

From then on, they [the Sparks] had to play catch-up ball - and the very formidable Gombak team simply kept the pressure on, held steady on the defensive end - and practically coasted to victory as the repeated forays of the Sparks were, time and again,thwarted by Gombak.

Regardless of the loss, my Filipino friends from Victoria Court Hotel 

[where I stayed in my last two trips to Singapore] -
