Pre-Game Images

In this post,  the images are laid out in the actual chronological/sequential order they were taken [a rarity in my posts].  One lens [a 24-70mm] was used to shoot ALL these images.

Did make the effort to get the names of some [Not All] of the fans shown here.  I had short [some lengthy] conversations with some - with some, I just took their pictures quickly, then just walked away.  { Some E-mailed me their names yesterday } As expected, there were fans who felt uncomfortable with a photographer pointing a camera at them - so I would simply respect them, move away and look for other subjects to photograph.

Bump into a Favorite Friend and ask her to show her new Galaxy Note

I've known Lyane O. for about a year and 2 months now.  Met her at the Yalin 10-Ball World Pool Championships at the Galleria, way back August of 2012.  {I actually mistook her as a member of an Asian contingent, either from Korea, Taiwan, and Japan}  I have been taking her pictures ever since.

She works for ABS-CBN. {a graduate from Miriam College and an active member of G-Force}

The Early Birds

 12:55 p.m.

Literally, these were the FIRST fans in line. I took this photo just after they had passed the security check and were just about to pass the "turnstiles".

{I heard that as early as the night before, after the Friday night PBA game, there were some UAAP fans loitering in the area, hoping to be first in line.

Someone told me, though, that the actual line was formed around 4 a.m., thereabouts ! }

Daquiaog was the first Tiger to start warming up.  Van Opstal was the first [fr DLSU] to warm up - a good 10-20 minutes before any Archer.
