Tams Stay Atop Standings
FEU - 90 Adamson -73
FEU - 90 Adamson -73
Mark Belo
Without Belo's consistency in scoring and rebounding,
am doubtful Tams will be holding the #1 spot now.
The 4th Qtr starts with the Falcons only two points behind, but the Tams 28-point explosion [with eight Tams scoring] is simply too much for the very, very inexperienced Falcons to match.
Roger Pogoy
When Pogoy's converts two rainbow conversions [that's 6 clutch points] in the 4th Qtr [with Adamson still threatening] - Everyone pretty much concedes it's Game Over for Adamson.
Duremdes' boys keep apace with Racela's, for over three quarters - even leading them by four, at halftime - but, Adamson simply doen't have the vast experience and maturity FEU has - At least come Season 78, next year - We WILL surely see a much, much Stronger Falcon Team.
Axle Inigo [#5] and Celedonio Trollanio [#6] challenge the formidable FEU D.
A gutsy drive by [#19] rookie Christian Garcia and an ali-oop by veteran [#17] Jansen Rios - net the Falcons two baskets.
The Young Falcons of Adamson still have two opps to eke out a win in Round 2. I am hoping that they eventually take a W home.
I miss the Ateneo-UP match, where Mikey Reyes blows two charities that should have won that match over the Blue eagles - Stat sheets below
There's still the UST-DLS, ADM-FEU, NU-DLS, and UE-DLSU matches in the next two weeks or so - that will finally determine the final Final Four standings. It's the #1 and #2 spot every team wants to nail because it comes with a twice-to-beat advantage entering the playoffs.
