First of October - SMART Araneta
Humbled
In sports, and during our day to day lives - Even with the noblest of intentions - and even after we have given our best efforts
{ heart, soul, guts and all} to ANY endeavor ---
--- Occasionally ---We WILL FAIL.
We are but Human. We falter, we lose games, we make professional blunders, we say things we don't mean, we lose our cool, we make errors in judgement, or we EVEN end up hurting the ones we claim dearest to our hearts .... [and so on and so forth]
That - is REAL Life - Like it or Not.
When a team has gone all the way to the semis, only to be knocked out of contention - It can be devastating for SOME of the players of the losing team. It is like eating the Humblest of Pies, whole - and brings young men unabashedly crying on center court.
This time around 'twas the Blue Eagles and the Green Archers who would feel the stinging, bitter taste of being elimenated, each team being just a game away from a Finals Slot - and 'twas the Bulldogs and Tamarraws who would savor the sweet nectar of Victory.
The photo above shows Belo starting to pick himself off the floor. After those fleeting euphoric moments [These things Happen So Fast] being mobbed by his team mates - Mark lays on his belly for a few seconds - out of exhaustion [and relief] while FEU Team Cap Carl Cruz, in the photo below, finally lets go - his tears of Joy.
[two photos below] FEU Tam Anthony Hargrove [after experiencing frustration and heartache - being knocked out of the UAAP by DLSU for two consecutive seasons prev ] ---> Finally GETS THERE !!!
[The UAAP Finals] and just Sucks Up his HAPPIEST UAAP Moments !!
--- {So Far}
Hurting on the Hardcourt - Graduating student Nico Elorde [above] and Ateneo Courtside reporter Laura Lehmann [below] experience the Bitter Sting of Elimenation .
In Times like these - One is SO HUMBLED [at times, feeling so Distraught, Heartbroken AND HELPLESS] that I can only imagine how unbearable it must feel for these guys.
Yet, In Times of Triumph - One should be Humbled Even More.
The NU Bulldogs, along w/ Mr. Hans Sy, Head Coach Eric Altamirano and his Staff - take to a moment of Silence whilst saying their Prayers of Gratitude.
---------------
During Wednesday's Semis Doubleheader ,
