1st Friday Photo Shoot

First Morning of May at Moro

Nothing more Refreshing, Welcome and Healthy [as of late] as a 6 am portrait shoot [call time shouldda been 5 am !} at the Blue Oval [More Lorenzo Field [or whatever one may choose to call it] on the First of [usually the hottest month of the year, here] May.

After "endless" nights in coliseums, arenas [the past months - shooting basketball, volleyball] - "Nakakaumay Minsan".   Now, Outdoor shoots {wether they be football matches, landscape photog, street photog or location portraiture}  always provide a Healthy Balance.

Model arrives punctually .......I arrive punctually - 6 am, on the dot !! Coolness !!  .........

{Practice Punctuality 24/7, guys - Like ALL Good Habits, Manners {and attitudes}-- such are "super essentials" in being a successful/happy person {Mind You / Truth be Told}

......... Particularly so, as in this case, this is my first shoot with a good acquaintance of mine,
Shiza fine young college athlete, decent, disciplined, well-rounded, wholesome [goofy too] - A PSYCHO, at that !- er, este - I mean to say - a Psychology Major - hahaha ! .. with a "Fine-ness" and a PAC {"Pretty-ness", Appeal, Charm} all her own. ......

........Hmm - Tomboyishness even !  Seriously, Tomboyishness HAS an Appeal all it's own -at the least - it just adds "color" to a girl's charm - Trust me !   ........ Anyway

Admittedly [to her] - have to adjust [kapa rin ako ng kaunti - sabi ko rin sa kanya] [lahat ng tao, kanya-kanya ang pulso] - Each individual have has unique pulse [sensitivity] - rythm and flow, even.

Counts to understand {or as in the vernacular - dapat "gets" mo yoong tao} one's subject 24/7 and get to that freguency - If only to get the person to "feel safe and comfortable"  in one's company - then eventually get the best from that person [at last photographically].

Crafting portraits of close [and even closer]  friends has a "Fulfillment all it's Own" - Not that shooting new acquiantances ain't Fun !  Yes, surely it is Fun and Fulfilling too !  "Ibang Flavor" lang  ha ha ha ! 

Shoots should be Win-Win Situations ALWAYS - EVEN IF it is so short lived and/or the images don't turn out as as good as hoped for ( as in this particular shoot - don't achieve enough variety - OK lang )

{ Love to finish shoots, having discovered and learned something NEW - my subjects having discovered and learned NEW things about themselves too }   

The other opp I was looking forward to -  (shooting behind-the-scenes training shots - football) doesn't materialize (the team ends up doing baseline testing, and exercises) so I don't stay that long.   Capture a goofy moment or two, tho, over a late breakfast b4 leaving  ......Why not ?
