Weekend Nutshells - Part 2

A Simple Saturday

For lack of a better descript - I am using the word "simple", as in referring to shooting something different [far from the usual] - for a change. [ I also need an adjective that starts with an "s".]

Covering an "Open-house" - "Feel-Free-to-Join-Just-Walk-In !" " Football Clinic for kids - on the SM Bicutan Activity Center earlier [feel ko ang air-con] was refreshing, to say the least.  With hardly any pressure on my part [like any shoot, though - It still had its challenges] - I still had to stay Focused and Alert [and serious -siyempre, trabaho to].

But - 'Nuff said - here are a few random JPEGs from that Clinic   .....

All did their part in introducing the "Beautiful Game" to a random number of kids from various backgrounds.

The clinic culminated in two 10-minutes-or-so 4-aside matches.

A Squad of Stallions FC booters [along with the support of some UFL players from various UFL football clubs] will again, visit another SM Mall, tomorrow, Sunday [this time in SM Marilao] and several other SM Malls next weekend - to conduct this Free Football Clinic.

The Head Coach and Owner of the Stallions FC is Ernie Nierras [blue tee /white cap].

{ I won't join them tomorrow, but I'll be with the "Gang" next weekend, when they visit SM Paranaque }  Hey, I've got the Shakey's V-League Championship Match to watch, and the PBA Sunday Doubleheader - -> Rain or Shine vs Barako Bull  & San Miguel vs Barangay Ginebra !

Weekend Nutshells - Part 1

A Forgettable Friday  ?

Take the Good with the Bad {and vice versa} - Suck it Up - Whatever - Then Move On -

That's just what I did just yesterday evening, Friday - after being given some bad news - {Sorry, No Details - that's all I'll say}

Anyway, as I'm transcribing this - I'd just E-mailed [I'm here at the condo na] some 15 compressed JPEGs to a client [and good friend]. Hours earlier I covered an event for him [and his Football Team] at SM Bicutan.

YES, Nothing Beats God ol' Plain Hard Work - or just Plain Being Busy, at least for a few hours a day - AND getting Paid cash - "Kaliwaan", as they say in the vernacular  - on-the spot.  

Tomorrow, Sunday - I'll be at the Arena in San Juan - to cover a Winner-Take-All [rubber match] - a V-League Championship, at that, at around 12:45 pm - then proceed to the SMART Araneta to cover two PBA matches.

I thought that the intensity [frenzy] of the memorable encounters between the Ateneo Lady Eagles and the DLSU Lady Spikers, in recent years - would not be paralleled by any other match-up [UAAP,or V-league] - until I witnessed Games 1 and 2 of the Finals Series between the ARMY Lady Troopers and the PLDT Home ULTERA [a week ago]. 

What more can you Valdez, Daquis, Santiago siblings, Salak, Ferrer, de Leon, Lazaro, Santos, Soltones  ask for ??  .......   Me - I just want Intensity - I want athletes who are competing against each other, as if their LIVES depended on it !

... ... Like these PBA Hoopsters from Meralco and Blackwater, from Talk N Text and Global Port, who bannered the PBA Friday Doubleheader [Meralco and Talk N Text won] - Giving it all theyv'e Got .... .....

..... ..... Now, with my earlier coverage of the Stallions FC Mall Tour / Football Clinic at SM Bicutan - in the air-conditioned confines of the Activity Center - and that widely anticipated Volleyball Championship [tomorrow] I can maintain the variety and balance I look for in the course of my weekly quota of coverages.

Not into giving stats and figures - as of late - Just sharing mages - from and there - on-a-whim

--  Just having some fun improving my craft - Sucking it [Whatever comes my way - Good AND Bad] Up !   Then moving On.

For "whatever reasons", I've been hardly posting anything these days - even though the pace of my work (frequency, number of matches - basketball/football/volleyball hasn't changed. The previous year, 2014, I averaged, at least one post per day. As of late, my rate is prob
2-3 posts per week, or so - think - I don't mind at all. 

Whatever  ...... I don't deliberately plan my posts (they just happen) ......  
the freguency of my posts WILL Eventually increase   .....That's just me.

the Cagayan vs Meralco {Battle for Third} is set for 9 am, with the Home ULTERA - Lady Troopers clash is set to follow at 12:45.  I catch the Cagayan-Meralco match but stay only for Set #1 of the PLDT-Army match - cos I have to rush to the Rizal pitch to cover four UFL Cup Games.

Workin' from 9 am till 10 pm thereabouts on a Sunday ..... OK lang .....
