As i intimated to College St.Benilde photographer Jace Natividad, who I met that evening [she was at the same table with Mark, Andrei, and Ceej] - I can't seem to leave a Press Event without, at least, a couple of GOOD B-t-Scenes photos.  As to who I usually end up shooting-> could be anybody, literally..... it is always case-to-case.

That also depends on my "moods" and "personal preferences" - and how much "artistic control"  {go figure} i feel i can exercise over any given scenario - Truth be Told. That's just me.

During last night's awarding [or rather AFTER] - It just happened to be Anton Roxas, Andrei Felix, Ceej Tantengco, Kiefer Ravena, and his mom Mozzy.

I had wanted to shoot the Tie-Breaker Times foursome of RJ Co, Pobs Poblador, Migs Flores, Matthew Li {together} - but somehow - di lang natuloy - ganon lang talaga minsan ...

Anyway, the select random "soulful snaps" in this post ... OK na 'to ... Tho, I still have about ten one-on-one solos of Ceej Tantengco, which I have yet to release - but hey - No Hurries   ...
... sa sep blog feat na lang yon.

With My Own Two Hands

Stuff I Love To Do

{Besides Photography}

Wish I had these many DSLRs  ....

Or maybe - more time to Hone AND Enjoy my - 
Non-Photographic Interests AND SkillZ

Thing is, the SkillZ  I used to have time to pursue {before I forget - I used to play full-court basketball with the media guys every Monday evening, at the Rizal Stadium, too] --- ALL have one thing in common  ....

They don't require electronics, they all require manual skills  -

Assembling scale model kits / sanding, glueing, priming, and eventually 

Hand Painting and/or Air Brushing the said scale model kits

Trying to saw,  sand - paint with primer - Spray Paint my own designs - 
on a table or two 

Playing the Violin - {Yes, I taught myself to play it - took me almost 4-6 months just to get the proper finger positions [through muscle memory] } - After several years I ended up playing for my chubby [hahaha] girlfriend, at one point in my life - although - amateur level lang - for fun !! - At Least I could widow !

At the least, I get to see my nephew, occasionally - being that I'm involved in the UAAP and that Nace, my one and only nephew from my one and only brother, IS the Captain of the DLSU Mens' Football team {the UAAP Football Season commences on Feb.7} - 'twould be more fun, seeing him play [cheering for him & taking action shots of him] for the Green and White - besides just hanging out w the young man.

{I even attend, occasionally, the training sessions of the DLSU Mens' AND Womens' UAAP Football Teams of DLSU - FYI ]

As in the case of Vanessa, his sister, I've been missing her for almost a month now, being that she flew to New Zealand two days after X'Mas, to pursue a 4-year course.

What can I say - they're like my kids ... and our family [both my parents are gone] being so small ... well .... "kinda lonely" - is that the right thing to say ??  sometimes  ... just sayin ....

When i happened to come across a "1998- thereabouts" 2-some portrait of Nac' and Van' in my hard drives, earlier today - I knew in an instant that I could simply put it beside my recent "December, 2015" 2-some portrait of them- [Actually taken a few hours before Vanessa' flight to New Zealand] - and somehow articulate simple [very universal] sentiments via a brief blog post.

... and, this is it - Plain and Simple

I could suggest a context { and speak of } of "How Time Does Fly So Fast", or how "Life is Simply Too Short" - or say something about "Family"  -  whatever ---  Now, Do I need some sort of rationalization to "justify" releasing this pair of portraits  - Certainly Not.

I'm just Sayin' 

Love em both - DO miss Vanessa - [at least we comm by fb] - WILL be seeing Nace soon, at a DLSU training session - among other things - 

AND simply shared above, are two portraits - one from 1998, and one from just last December -

--  but that was THEN -  { tapos na yon }

NOW, the Question IS - WHEN do i get a chance to do their portraits together again ??

Sunday Snaps

Sunday Afternoon

at Binan

A relatively very quiet [lazy?] Sunday for me yesterday ..... Woke up late.....

Come mid-afternoon - Dropped by a friendly tune-up match, at Binan, Laguna [at the new turf field, adjacent to the Alonte Sports Center]  between Stallions FC and Voltes FC.  I joined the SFC team dinner / samahan,  BONDING and all {also in Binan} ..... then arrived in Greenbelt {quietly slipped in at the condo} - by 10 pm ....

Been trying to gain some pounds lately, eating more, sleeping as much as I can .... spending quality alone time, so to speak [exercising a lot in the condo, among other things] - still doing the location portrait thingy, bout once  week, in Makati, as usual .... {DON'T release those private shoots in mu blog - FYI - It's just my policy}

In just "72 hours or so" the pace of my work will gradually increase  - and return to "normal" - Stress will come into the picture ....

.....  a match everyday from Thursday to Sunday - the Sunday match, being the first game of the Ateneo Lady Eagles defending UAAP Champion Volleyball Team [this season]  vs the NU Lady Bulldogs   --  ha ha  - whatever --
therefafter, the ff weeks and months - the commencement of the UAAP Football season - and also my other projects with the MMBL, NBTC, SFC etc. etc .....
