Touching Base w Coach Kiko Diaz
After taking photos during the DLSU Mens' and Womens' {UAAP Football Teams} 6-9 am training session, I whizzed by at the Rizal Stadium diamond - to take just a few snaps of the UE vs NU and UST vs Ateneo softball matches - then left for Greenbelt. Eventually returned to the Rizal Baseball field before 1 p.m... to watch the Adamson vs UP match.
Hadn't actually attended a UAAP softball match since, maybe 2011-2012 thereabouts, 'twas a good an opp as any to at least watch a full game [AdU vs UP] that afternoon.
Coach Sandy of UST, Randy Dizer of Ateneo, Coach Anna of Adamson, Coach Kiko Diaz of UP - I met all of them way from way back when - well, at least w/ former UP Head Coach Kiko Diaz - i had constantly been bumping into him [through the years] in and around UAAP events - so - by instinct - he's the coach I'd usually end up chatting w/more often [at least, when it comes to softball coaches].
Anyways, here are a few nutshell photos ...

Considering the "Invincibility" of the Defending Champion Adamson Lady Falcons [who currently hold a 60+! game winning streak], the UP Lady maroons - fought a good fight till the bottom of the last inning {the 7th} where they scored 2 runs - to cap their third match.
The Lady Maroons now hold a 2-1 W-L slate.
