Blackbird Fly

It is World Poetry Day  .....

......  so what more appropo image, at least for me, to download, and share -
 than an archival 1965 film photo of Sir Paul ?

[along with "Blackbird"]

Wether it is "good" poetry or "bad" poetry one articulates  .... poetry will always be poetry.

What matters is the dare, the effort to dig deep into one's psyche  .... face one's demons, fears, hurts, vulnerabilities, strengths, hopes and fears ..... one's humanity [so to speak] and simply articulate it  ...... and somehow make this world a better place to be in [at that]

Not necessarily through the written word .... tho.
We are composers, writers, scriptwriters, sculptors, oil painters, novelists,  journalists, landscape artists, vocalists, portrait photographers   ... and what we do - to express - in our own unique ways is our poetry.

They say "it's only real when it hurts" or "do it til it hurts"  ..... Does ring true indeed.

Now, don't ask me why - i just know that that is the way art becomes art.
It has to be real, it has to come from the heart - or the gut, even - it has to entail risk, mind you - simply because we are human.

But, ey, that's just me. 

You will find your art in your own unique way. Do it. Share it, make a fool of yourself, even - occasionally - if it even goes to that point.

As long as you are true to yourself - it'll be OK.

ha ha ha - again - But, no - i really don't mean that .....
