How I Spent
My Tuesday Afternoon

Yesterday, I watched Rain or Shine beat NLEX by only 5 points {96-91} and Purefoods beat Alaska by a whopping 20 {108-88}.

Here's another set of randomly mixed up nutshell images from the said two matches plus 5  B-t-Scenes snaps to end this post on a very cheerful note.

Whimsical, at the very least  ... two  "fleeting, glancing snaps" of Erika Padilla and James Velasquez, courtside, watching Purefoods Star dominate the Alaska Aces  {That's writer Carlo Pamintuan on the rear}

On a whim - I simply shot several On-the-Spot Group Images of some Sports 5 Staffers {who just happened to be in their prod room, as I passed it, and  curiously glanced inside}.  I "instinctively" verbalized a prompt request to shoot them - and in a a couple of seconds {less then 30 or so} - I came up with these two  "Worm's-Eye-View" {below} unplanned/unsolicited snaps of the posse .....

 Simple ? - Yes / So Unassuming Even ! / STILL - I do find it these two "snaps" - [above and below] - Very, very {very} N-N-N-Nice !!

It does help [a whole lot] that some of these guys {Joanna, Crystal, Paolo, and Direk Raffy} are comfortable with my "occasional deskarte" - and that I can make  "erstwhile insignificant" moments - into "mini-masterpieces" - that are simply pleasant, easy on the eyes - and "say something" - "speak volumes" - even !  about the subjects   ......

Feb One Faves

February 1 - San Beda College, Mendiola

Metro Manila Basketball League 

Finals

My second time to cover the culminating playdate of the MMBL - Got up at dawn, delivered a birthday card at 6:30 am in the morning, then had to scoot ASAP to Mendiola.  Simply wanted to be Punctual - That's all ..

Had to cover nine basketball games [the most I'd ever done in a span of 8 hours or so - THO, NOT as "comprehensive" as in the manner I'd cover a PBA match].  Simply had to pace myself  between two adjacent playing courts as games would be continuously played at the same time, for several hours.

I say - 'Twas just All In a Day's Work  {At the least - I was able to craft one of my BETTER Images of an athlete writhing in pain, and was able to compose a Great Backlit Image of hoopsters, being illuminated by the afternoon sun.

 Had to time my shots - wait for the athletes come to a very small portion/area of the indoor basketball court which was being illuminated by a shaft of light, which I knew wouldn't be there for long - then click, hoping to catch the backlight defining the "outline" of the athletes' figures
 {in action, no less}.

When [and Where Else] ? will i have another opp to craft such a"finely tuned" {and timed} backlit action shot ?   Impossible to answer !

Anyways, here are a few more of my [uncaptioned] faves from Feb One  .....

I didn't mind missing out on the PBA Doubleheader in Binan, Laguna, that same afternoon { I actually asked the MMBL organizers to get me to officially cover this MMBL Championship Playdate}.

For one thing, I'm sure, some of the Young Guns playing in the MMBL Championships will be PBA Stars someday - One or two, or three of them might just be in one of the images I just posted above - Who knows ?

In Flight - {updated}

It's Alright

It's All White

Several days ago, I was fortunate to have had a chopper ride, along with a wealthy client of mine.

He was kind enough to go [a bit] out of his way for me - so's I could have glimpse [and a quick snap], "reminisce somewhat", albeit for a few fleeting seconds - simply by havin a "not so common" view of two of the three homes that I've lived in, my whole life.  On the day before that chopper ride - I had just secured the last piece of furniture in my new home -- Anyway  -
