Street Photos ...

October 27

... On My Way Home
 - No Wonder -

Coming from the Mall of Asia, I usually get down at the Ayala Ave. { East-bound lane [towards EDSA] } bus stop between V. Rufino St.and Paseo de Roxas - then simply walk that distance to the condo - at Perea St.

So, an hour or two ago, just as I stepped of the aircon bus [Ayala Ave.] - I directed my attention upwards and noticed a full moon. Took a few snaps, after which, I noticed some lighting patterns and reflections on another high rise or two so I simply continued adjusting my angles promptly - to capture whatever patterns and textures which I felt, could serve as hooks - so as to come up with
decent,  blogworthy images  -  at the least.

First, I came up with the three images above  ...
Are any worth a second look ?!
I Think Not --- OK lang  .....

..... 'Twas on de la Rosa St. [a few steps away from Paseo de Roxas, actually] - where I lingered for a couple of minutes ...... and was able to craft these two images [above and below] - which, at the least - show measure of  "T and A" skills !

Dude - Not as in "Tits and Ass" skills  { ha ha ha !} but rather -
as in  "Technical AND Artistic"  skills  - Ha ! {Gottcha There !}

No Wonder - I Love Walking the Streets of the Makati CBD
.....  Particularly at Night

In a Different Light

The New
UAAP Men's Beach Volley Champions'
 On-the-Spot "Pahabol" Portraits
- Gold, Vulnerability and Strength -

 --- {Either Ya Have it OR Ya Don't !} ---

Marck Espejo, Ysay Marasigan, Karl Baysa

I simply came too late to shoot the new UAAP Mens' Beach Volley Champion Blue Eagles {at the 2nd Flr Lobby of the MoA Arena} being interviewed by ABS-CBN Correspondents Addie Manzano and Janeena Chan {just yesterday - 15 minutes or so before the Ateneo vs NU Mens' Senior basketball match}.

The Trio were just about to exit the premises when I barely caught them. I managed to borrow a precious fast minute or two  ... Did My Thing Promptly - lighting angles, quick ! art direction - a few hand gestures - a few "choice, specific words", to DISARM them, let them put their "walls" down .....

..... IF ONLY - for a few priceless moments  ..... then Voila! - I simply got Great Impromptu Images {below} {from a series of 10 frames with the same disarmed demeanor} - then I knew - 'Twas Done - A fresh set of Soulful Images of the young champions - in the bag !

-----

The three images that follow [below] are from a total of 27 ---[shot in Servo Mode - several frames per second - {in a span of less then a minute, w prompt pauses, of course} ]--- are my Favorites !  from that mini-mini {super-mini} photo shoot.

Who SEZ my subjects have to be looking at my lens
for their Portraits to be Evocative ??

Anyways .......

A "game-faced" parting shot for this post
And a BIG Parting Thanx to the Champs !

Til the Next "OPP"
"Occasional Pahabol Portraits"
Guys !

But Hey, Seriously - Champs !
You didn't have to bow to me or whatever ... !?
  or was it ...
... that you just couldn't contain your laughter ?!

Tha- ha ha -nk You !

"Suffer Me Not To Hunger for Your Face  ...."
ha ha ha !
So goes an excerpt from a Kahlil Gibran book .....
While considering that the context of the said lines can easily "lean" towards the romantic, they, too, can simply articulate the sentiment of missing a loved one [or anyone for that matter !]  intensely  -

I'm just hard pressed to articulate in words - how much i enjoy crafting on-the-spot/on-the-go portraits -  looking for faces that Evoke and Emote - {in the Most Fleeting Moments !! } - in the midst of social events, games, parties or what   {wether they be complete strangers, acquiantances, or close friends } - it doesn't matter ....

The Thing IS {Truth be Told} - as I've realized all along - only to admit now - that in the Core of it All .....

..... Transcending the Cuteness, the Prettiness, and the SOUL of whatever Evocative Image I get to craft .....

--- Through Portraits - I Do Occasionally ---> get Reminded of My Humanity  - plain and simple { That's just Me - OK? } ---

As so poetically imparted by Kahlil Gibran  .....

Suffer Me Not ..... to hunger for your Face ...

Love What I Do
