The DLSU Lady Archers simply swept the elims {7-1-0}, to book a seat to the UAAP Finals, way ahead of the others.

Entering the One-Game-Winner-Take-All UAAP Championship yesterday, 

at Rizal, the Lady Archers were heavily favored to win over the Lady Maroons.

As a writer [a buddy of mine], from an on-line site , casually predicted b4 the match - 'Twas going to be a {2-1} W for La Salle .

 Turns out - a {2-1} Championship W did happen, but not for La Salle -
but rather for UP Diliman !!

On the 50th minute, de los Reyes handily drillsd her penalty kick.

 Eleven minutes later, on the 61st minute, Sarah Castaneda returns the favor, to tie the match at 1 all . {NO Photo}

From a corner by Cassie Alleje , Angeliza Sta. Clara [# 26] contorts for this gem of a header! - Catching the DLSU D flatfooted - DLSU-1   UP-2 !!

Thereafter, neither team simply manages to score. .

So, after a very impressive [7 win / 1 draw] elim round record, Hans Smit's Lady Booters simply fall short count when it counted the most - during a Winner-Take-All Championship Match.

More so , the Lady Archers practically win ALL the Individual Awards! 
And yet, that the single most sought after trophy, the UAAP Season 78 Women's Football trophy - goes to the Fighting Lady Maroons from Diliman.

Could it have been more than Ironic that ???
