The Unsaid
Shot this yesterday.
I'll leave this image untitled for now.
Fact is, this is one of about 5-7 shots i stole from a few fleeting seconds.
Some people might consider me {my stealing of this moment} - callous, insensitive - as one, taking advantage of "people's misfortune".
I have to take that chance.
I have to take that chance.
I could not resist it, frankly.
Immortalized here ...
Immortalized here ...
... is a moment of deep hurt.
... is a moment of profound pain, disbelief, heartbreak,
disappointment, humiliation - combined ....
disappointment, humiliation - combined ....
... add heart-wrenching, and ego-crushing {traumatic even} to the list, too.
The young boy's spirit is broken {temporarily}.
The young boy's spirit is broken {temporarily}.
This image is "mild", as compared to the other ones I stole.
I have one or two more {from this scenario} which reveals the young boy's face - clearly showing him in tears, whilst sobbing in silence - No
{hindi ko kayang i-post yoon}.
{hindi ko kayang i-post yoon}.
He is a point guard of his team.
His team had just been massacred - losing by 52 points ---
{yes, fifty two points [no mistype here] }
--- in a "win or go home" semi-finals match.

Like his team mates, He did his best, played his guts out in his
"not so pleasant"/very forgettable last match {for this tournament, only}.
"not so pleasant"/very forgettable last match {for this tournament, only}.
Every single member of his team felt the same way too ...
... like some deaf-mutes in a state of shock, covered their faces w their towels - w heads bowed down - faces etched with a look like no other.
Everyone was inconsolable - temporarily unable to accept/process what had just happened.
NO, I'm not trying to rub anything in, mind you.
I'm just sharing it - as I witnessed it.
Nothing Personal here.
Anyway, This Too, Shall Pass.
The Team will have been a more mature group after this experience.
Such painful experiences can be so "defining" - in a good way - if one can embrace it, {and with the right attitude}, then let it go - and even become a better person for it.
At a certain point in time, the Team might even consider this humbling experience a blessing in disguise - of the rarest of kinds -
- So much so that IF and WHEN this very same Team eventually does
Win a Championship ---
---> They will even Be More Humble and Gracious.
