Lady Eagles vs Lady Maroons

My Wednesday Morning
at the Ocampo Field

 A few
action shots, backlit shots
and "little stories" - ha ?

Pivotal in the Ateneo W - was Marianne Caparros' performance,
holding the 'Fort" for the Lady Eagles
- having made several great saves

The Lady Maroons scored early on - but the Lady Eagles came back -
via an own goal by UP - But, it was Lady Eagle Martie Bautista
 who sealed the deal for Ateneo  {2-1}
[B-t-Scenes image below, of the rookie]

Tuesday Snaps

Six-thirty a.m. w/the Stallions

Dropped by the Stallions FC "almost daily - early morn training" at the "Laguna turf", well, at least that's how I'd call it, for now.

This newly finished football field [turf] , is located adjacent to the "Pavilion", that is, the new "municipio complex" / infrastructure [of Binan] which includes the new municipal building, the Alonte Sports Complex [which has hosted  a number of PBA matchs and PSL matches, in the past year, or so] and other related infrastructure.

No Biggy, by this time of the year - I'm sure all the other UFL Teams are on the final three weeks of their training - in prep for the upcoming UFL wars.

These random few images are what they are --- totally random images ...

Sulat at Awit ni Ebe Dancel

Paborito ko 'to ....

"Bawat Daan"

Sa pagkumpas ng 'yong kamay
ang aking landas, ay ginagabay
nag-iisang tiyak, sa isang libong duda
silong sa iyak at pag luluksa

Bawa't kanan at kaliwa
kanluran man o hilaga
ang bawa't daan ko ay patungo
pabalik sa iyo

Kay tagal kong naghihintay
kung ang puso ay imamapa
Ikaw ang dulo, ang gitna't simula

 -------

-Idol !

I never really was a hard core rocker, just a"generic" fan {Truth be Told}. Just happened to have worked with the guys in this post, at one time or another during the mid 90s upwards  .....

[Hard Rock Cafe]

Glad Enuff, that I was able to salvage some analogue prints, from my {90s} film days - when I was constantly honing my Available {Low} Light Photography Techniques

Light and Shadow

Reflections

 ---> This is a REPOST ! of a Jan.17, 2015 blog feat
- as it actually appeared, a year ago -

Colored Shadows .....

Shooting "eye candy" is fine by me.  Shooting "eye candy" that shows a high level of Artistic AND Technical Competence is even better.

With "Colored Shadows" - One fine January evening - I noticed the moonlight [yes, 'twas a full moon then] softly illuminating my PS3, w/ the controller atop] just as I was about to exit my bedroom, having turned off the ceiling lights.

I then pressed the power button to see how the green and red LEDS would appear, casting red and green highlights amidst the play of light and shadow.  Then, I played with the angles for about a minute or two - and shot ASAP, lest the nuances of light from the moonlight disappear.

And from an otherwise overlooked "moment" - I felt I was able to craft a simple on-the-spot/on-the-go interpretation of a [Literally !] moonlit PS3 !! -Tell me, How often does one get to shoot a PS3 by moonlight ???!!!

 - But STILL - I had to compose my elements - the play of light shadow and how I ended up with a red shadow whilst combining the nuances of light from the red LED and the ilummination on the white surface of the console by the moonlight - to come up with a Fine Synergy of Technical  and Artistic SkillZ in this image.

Gets ?!

---------

Solitude .....

First to arrive - Last to Leave -- Lately, I've been coming "too"early" for the PBA matches and leaving way, way {way} hours after everybody has done his job -{ writers, photographers - even the janitors } Must be my mood or mode - lately -- whatever !   Works well for me !

With "Solitude"  [which actually shows about a quarter of the Araneta press room]  - I just wanted to remember those long hours I had put in lately [Never did that before] -- working OT - alone.  Truth be told, those nights that I stayed up "all night" working alone till ..... ----You wouldn't believe what time I'd leave the SMART Araneta premises !!----

I do like the image, even though it outright seems insignificant and inconsequential  at first glance .  The play of light and shadow, the
textures , the depth, the reflections on the floor  -  the solitude of it all - I suppose, once in a while we need that - at least, I do.

More often than not, Solitude does more than help me focus on my work  [wether at home, or at some press room]  cause it reminds me be mindful of all my priorities, 24/7,  so that every single thing I do eventually leads to my short term, and long term goals.

                                   ---------

Silver Lining

It might be too far fetched to have an unusual "take" on a still life of a clarinet - when it could just a easily be a simple artistic image of the musical instrument but  ....

Looking at the image of the Clarinet, the word "silver" easily comes to mind  -- and somehow, by instinct, the word "lining" follows   ......  simple as that.

Gotta find the "hooks" in everything - bro - Beyond, way way [WAY]  Beyond seeing, that is ---- gotta Think AND Feel - even Compell -

- if i expect to come up with images - at least, that are worth a second or third look, even fourth or fifth look - Seriously ? - Yes, Seriously.  To get my message Across

Anticipation  .....
On the Road again ..... Flying again .....

Fortunately for me - I'll get to travel soon again [I'm being sponsored by a long time client] --  Short trips lang naman... Nevertheless .....
