Ngayon, tatlo na ang nakapuwesto sa "Number One"
- at ang mga Maroons, Falcons at Warriors
 unang tatlo na naiwan

The Sept. 8 loss to Ateneo effectively knocked the Red Warriors out of the race, and to add injury to insult, [not the other way around] Roi Sumang ended up w/ a leg brace [and on a wheelchair] [to be sidelined - probably for some months].

About 10-20 minutes or so after that match [as the Archers and Bulldogs were warming up on court] I exited the MoA Press Room to go to the court. On that short hallway [and on that exact moment] - I bumped straight into UE Courtside Reporter Katz Salo just as she happened to exit the Womens' CR - still visibly sad [emotive], w/ hankie in hand, and eyes still red. I gave a big hug to Katz, albeit very brief - [yet w empathy]. 

There were simply NO words to assuage Katz' sadness -- after two years being part of the Red Warriors family - seeing them achieve, from an unimpressive UAAP Season 75 [3-Win/11-Loss] card --> a FilOil Pres-Season Championship [defeating the formidable NU Bulldogs] -- and play their hearts and guts out, game-in, game-out, this season, despite unfortunate team crippling suspensions, be touted as a Final Four Contender - only to choke in the 2nd Round [losing several BIG games by a measly 1 or 2 points].  Wrenching on the Warriors, and Katz herself - No Doubt.

The thought did cross my mind [As it ALWAYS does] - how it might have been if I had taken a picture of Katz ----- I had 2 DSLRs, "primed & ready", w/ me  {and it just so happened the hallway was just empty/devoid of people passing by, at that time - perfect photo opp moment!}-----  and somehow captured that sadness, in a photo or two  .  .  . -

.   .   . BUT  -  Fact is, I know I could not, and would have NEVER actually done it. Feeling ko, bastos lang talag ang dating noon - 'Twould have been a situation where a photog [me], grossly, tastelessly takes advantage of a person "at a bad time".

Yes, i can be "makulit" at times [if only to get the "more elusive/hard to capture" moments]  ---> but i'm not "bastos".
