Scoot to the Rizal Stadium {a little over 2 pm} to cover the{ Ateneo vs UST} Battle for Third Place {PFF Womens' Invitational Cup} and the Battle for Gold {DLSU vs FEU}.
During the Ateneo-UST match, the weather is fine - BUT during the last few minutes of the 1st Half of the {La Salle vs FEU} Championship Match - the erstwhile dark clouds simply let loose a Sudden Downpour, taking everyone by surprise.
Notice how huge the droplets are ! [photo above and below]
The match officials let the Archers and Tams play out the remaining minutes of the Half [might as well - no?] - but as the halftime whistle is blown - Athletes and officials, refs, and ball boys - [a crew of medics attending to an injured Tam, on a strecher] - Everyone is literally sprinting for cover !
Last to exit the pitch -
- a crew of medics [attending to an injured FEU lady booter] and 2 refs
-- taking it nice and easy
-- taking it nice and easy
For about an hour and a half [it's raining cats and dogs] - athletes, officials, the media - the modest crowd --- [even exiting the stadium to buy merienda, is a sure way to get drenched] --- everybody simply waits the downpour out.
Just so happens that a vast majority of my athlete FANS, -->{Friends And AcquiantanceS} are Ateneans and La Sallites - ergo - these snaps at the gallery section while it was pouring ......

I haven't released any images yet, from that Saturday UAAP Doubleheader at the MoA Arena. Honestly, It IS just that way sometimes - I can't seem to get myself to choose images, have the right words "pop outta my head" / "put a spin " to put a context/spin on my post - and all.
