As i know, "Photograph" was inspired by Ed Sheeran's ended relationship with Nina Nesbitt.  

So far it's only this piece, by Ed Sheeran, a piece by Chris Isaac, and one by Imagine Dragons that i  feel - "comfortably" complements these two portraits of the same person [both taken on the same morning] - yup, non-fiction, real life, real emotions  - talk about the power of music, or, of a single image   .....

.....  and it's timelessness...


I've always loved Sheeran's "Photograph" - and I've released, and deleted [sevX] blog posts with quotes from the piece, complemented by images of  "random portraits" [i wonder if you get my drift] [people i care about {at present}, and NOT, mind you, not necessarily am in love with] ---

 ---  feeling fake, kasi, after a while - but, after seeing "Me Before You" [i believe, its last screening at an Ayala Mall Cinema for good ??] - i just had to release, [again, for the Nth time] - very personal images of    [for me - she's always been in my hard and "heart" drives, and will stay there until ...]  someone from my Past { at least, this was the Real Thing } Iba Talaga pag May Tama .. Pre

 - Undeniably, very RARE, and Far Between - one of a kind ICONIC portraits - that .... well,   you know what mean .....   Stay With Me  ...

Actually met Jay around 3 am [March 3], just as he arrived at 70's Bistro

While the rocker was greeting his buddies [on the sidewalk], I promptly [and politely] asked for random, quickie On-the-Spots.   Using a parked motorbike as prop, w his beer and cigarette in hand [and a huge truck passing by]

I simply had to use ALL my photographic smarts just to capture a SOULful enough Jay Contreras "street portrait" [using the street lamps for illumination]  w the few fleeting seconds he gave me.  {i released this image way back March - no biggy, ok}

Thank God, I managed.  Gotta thank Jay, too.  

 

Hmm,  Just sharin images that appeal to me. 

 FYI, I grew up, being exposed to hard bound books [from my lolo's personal collection] [mostly historical - a lot dealing w/ World War 2]  hence my general interest in the said World War.
