Nothing is more satisfying for me than being able to See, THEN Interpret my subjects in a Fresh, New Light [and Angle] - every single photo opp I get.

Wether the subject is a Courtside Reporter, a spectator [doting and bonding with her daughter during a UAAP game], an athlete driving, or dunking the ball  - { maybe, being interviewed post game }, or just some media colleagues I just happen to bump into, as they are rushing to go home

 It's just my deskarte, my style - It's just What i Do.

Yesterday, during the UAAP Hoops Doubleheader, at the Araneta - I was quite happy that I was able to fashion some On-the-Spots - of athletes and spectators - competing and cheering for their teams ---> Having Fun - as much as I was challenged [and Had Fun, too] in creating --- the images you see here in this blog feat.

During the 1st half of the DLSU-UP match, I noticed a mother doting on her daughter {Patron section } -  and, by instinct, I started stealing shots of the cute little one, from a distance, using my telephoto.  

After 5 -10 minutes or so, alternating between shooting game shots and candids of the mother and daughter - I decided to sit on one of two vacant seats beside the "mag-ina" - and luckily, the mother was "simpatica" enough to allow me to take nore close-ups.

In a matter of seconds, I realized that the little one was actually -> Brooklyn Sauler - {who I'd already featured in my blog before !}

Told the mom that I knew Paolo, Brooklyn's dad, and that I'd featured her in my blog months before !  From that moment on, 'twas much easier for me to get the "pulse" of the pair, and as a result, was somehow able to catch a fleeting moment when both Patricia and Brooklyn closed their eyes for a micro second-or-two.

In the opening minutes of the match, Karim Abdul -

is accidentally hit on the eyes ??  [UST offensive play]

and ends up on the floor, covering his face.

Is [#7] Kevin Ferrer doing a contemporary version of the "Tinikling" ?

Nope - He just gets tangled up with Chris Newsome.

As a result of that entanglement, emotions ALMOST go out of control.

Good thing, cooler heads prevail.

Sayang !! - If things would have gone out of control -

 I was in a perfect spot
 to capture whatever might have happened - Ha !! 

  Well ... maybe - Next Time ??
