Just seconds after the final whistle .....

Into the final minute, or two, before the final whistle on the 2nd Round match between Ateneo and FEU, when the Lady Eagles where ahead by only one - when it was most, most likely that the game was a wrap for Ateneo - of course, the Ateneo faithful were just cheerfully savoring, anticipating every sweet second of it .......

....... On my part, yes, I was i excited too. 

 Fiona barely manages a "V" sign ....

Thing is - I was trying to figure out how i might tackle/approach the first sweet seconds of triumph, when the expected winners [the Lady Eagles] would simply whoop it up.  

One can get caught up in the mild frenzy in such situations, even get careless, as in my case - it has happened before sev X - end up with the wrong manual exposure settings, or even end up with the wrong lens in hand [of course, that would depend on what kind of images one strives to capture].

Last Sunday, the 20th - I decide [just into the last few seconds] that i would look for Fiona Faulkner first - to capture whatever initial emotions, reactions I could get - and from  there on - just play it by ear.


The images in this post are laid out in the actual sequential order they were taken [unlike most of my posts where images are laid out randomly, unsequentially].  

[The whole set of post-match ages are actually - A LOT - just have to arbitrarily narrow the number down, to a few select ones] - [ i actually chose these Fiona solos from a series of 26 Fiona "eye-level level" solos shots, mind you ! - just sharin, guys]    fyi
 

Not as bad as it Looks - Fiona's just drained/exhausted after after such a hard fought match.  Now, she can just [happily]  flop while team mate Pauline Villaflor proudly [happily] cradles her.

[below]  Then comes that "class act" by Lady Tam rookie Suettie Simoy [#8] - humbly extending a hand in congratulations to the very person who has just single-handidly  [sorta -hey!, it IS a Team Effort]  dealt FEU this crucial loss.

ey - Lest we forget -
that winning isn't the End-All and Be-All in Sports
