FYI - I mentioned Samcor, Kath, and Jari because, at this point, or at least, after I shot these images - They are the only active members of the UP Pep that I know --- I actually met Kath, just on the same afternoon these images were taken [thru Samcor].

My tendency, instincts are to look for the people I know first [di ba ganoon] whenever UP Pep is around - thru them, It is easier to connect with the rest of the group - particularly so when I look to create images - It's just what i do - Enjoy lang rin - para masmagandi rin ang mga kuha na lumalabas - Bakit hindi ?!

Now, as with "one-most-likely-to-score" {along with Mary Rose Obra or Martha Dagdag very, very possibly} Lady Maroon veteran Cristina de los Reyes [photo below] - who just happened to be my village neighbor, [just 6 houses away] the past 7-8 years that I resided in South Bay Gardens, Sucat  ---

--- I actually have a photograph of Cristina, scoring the winning goal vs Guam [friendly match, Feb 16, 2009, at the Ateneo College Field] - and that photo was my First Ever to be released in a daily, The Inquirer, at that !

And through the years since then - I've seen her "do her thing", as a varsity player or Zobel, as a striker or the U-19 Phil Team [and so on and so forth] and eventually, as a rookie with the Lady Maroons  [when she won the the coveted ROY plum].

Although she skipped a playing year or two, since then - What matters now, for her and the Lady Maroons - is that they make it to the Finals, first and foremost  [last season, they actually did, only to lose to FEU in the Championship] - then from there - simply outscore their opponents in one Winner-Take-All match and to Win UAAP Gold.

But hey - returning to the topic at hand -  

These images, [and side-stories] are just tiny, tiny pieces of this on-going mosaic of memories - I'm trying to build as I go along - if only to share these exciting [enriching] experiences/moments - being Up-Close-and-Personal  with the UP Pep Squad, Lady Maroons,

 Lady Eagles, Lady Archers - or whoever ! - the best way I can - through photographs - 

NOT that it's easy to do {Mind You !}  - But, more essentially  - It is Rewarding.
