I stole the image of Selina Dagdag in a private moment of prayer, whilst seated at the Ateneo bench - as the Lady Eagles were warming up on court. Simple as this picture is - it is, without a doubt, one of my favorite from that afternoon.  Sure, I have a ton of great action shots - but doesn't everybody ?? [Of course I will release my action shots in a later post]

Will post, just a select few  ->strictly non-action images, from Game Two of the UAAP Womens' Volleyball Finals within the next 48 hrs [I still haven't decided which image to release].  I was granted access to the Lady Eagles locker room - right after they exited the playing court.  The emotions of the girls were still very raw even as Ateneo University President Fr. Jet Villarin said his piece.  Coach Roger Gorayeb and University Athletics Director Richard Palou also had something to say to the crest fallen girls.

One can only try to approximate, in a few words [and maybe one or two select pictures], how things really were inside the locker room during those private moments .  .  . sacred / sad / sobering / occasionally tearful / senti to the max !! .  .  . there were moments when the girls would occasionally share a smile, giggle, then in the wink of an eye unabashedly shed tears - woah !!  - sappy or sentimental cannot even begin to describe it !!  But tears had to be shed, words had to spoken, the moments had to be lived and eventually Let Go. 

-  -  - just tried to be discreet, tactful as I tried to photojournalize those heart tugging - heart-wrenching even / very personal    -moments - >probably the last huddles ever of the Fab Five -> A Nacachi, Dzi Gervacio, Fille Cainglet Gem Ferrer, Gretchen Ho   - with the Ateneo Volleyball Team.
