NU vs Adamson - Round 1

July 30 - Mall of Asia Arena
Falcons Frustrated Anew
[Growing Pains]

With 11 rookies in a roster of 15 [and a new coach, at that] - the young, inexperienced Falcons of Coach Duremdes manage only [an all time game low ?]  25 points after Four Quarters - what with the highly motivated, grizzled vet Bulldogs from NU as their opponents.

 King Falcon Ryan Monteclaro soars.

No, no, no - This is NOT a putdown on the Falcons - I'm just being objective about the whole thing.  Hey,  they lost to last year's Runners-Up UST Tigers on a botched last second undergoal stab, a few days previous. [Game couldda gone either way - If you ask me]

These Fighting Falcons WILL gradually get better
 as the season progresses.

FEU vs UE - Round 1

July 30 - Mall of Asia Arena
Tamaraws Take Charge
 - Take Win #3

FEU - 73        UE - 63

[#12] Mark Belo, again, leads the Tams'  scoring -
this time, with 21

[#15] Anthony Hargroves's 12 boards help FEU's dominate the glass.
The Tams  outrebound the Warriors by 16 - [49-33] !

Playing the most minutes [30.50] for Coach Racela, [#13] Chris Tolomia contributes from 2-pt. land and rainbow country.  Chris' FG% in this match is below 40, tho.  He dishes out 5 assists.

Chatles Mammie, So far, hasn't been as dominant a rebounder
as he was last year, Season 77.

[#15] Pedrito Galanza follows Paul Varilla's 12 points
with 11 of his own.

- Red Warriors Rising -
[#7] Ronnie "RR" de Leon      [#10] Paul Varilla

A BAD shooting afternoon for [#6] Roi Sumang -
He converts on only one of his 13 attempts !

              [#18] Achie Inigo - 7 pts.           [#7] Ron Dennison - 2 pts.

[#20] Moustafa Arafat has been performing better than
Charles Mammie, as of late - getting more minutes and
 scoring more points.

In the 3-frame sequence below - Arafat tries to defend against a Tamarraw and, at the same breath,  avoiding stepping on team mate Pedrito Galanza, whose butt is on the paint.

- Belo and Hargrove against a lone Red Warrior -

Random On-the-Spots here .....

- Meet the Press -

- One for the Road -

- July 30's "Silverworks Girl" [right] poses with her companion -

- Tamarraw Reunion -

Catch rookie CSRs Yvette Dion Dy and Nicole Emellie Yu just before they exit the MoA arena.  Yvette and Nicole study UE and FEU, respectively

This win gives FEU a [3-1] Win-Loss slate [the same as Ateneo's].

-------

BTW,  Finally !! - I have simple BUT well-composed photo of FEU Head Coach Nash Racela that  I truly like !!  After ALL those "endless" tight shots of Coach I've been snapping the past few years - It turns out that my BEST portrait of Coach Racela  [FOR NOW]  isn't a tight solo - but rather, a compressed image {taken from a distance} --  with Coach, being only one of several {NINE} subjects,  taken during a Tam huddle !

 - What I Do -

This is What YOU DO - Coach !   Coach.
This is What I DO - take nice photos.

Come Sunday, the 4th of August, I'll be rooting against you - Coach -
It'll be the boys from Loyola vs the boys from Morayta  -
Both the Eagles and Tamaraws are now holding a [3-1]  Win/Loss slate.

Butts on the Floor !

 Seated Solos
[plus 2-somes, 3-somes, 4-somes, and then some]
[Nameless - this time]

What all the portraits, candid, stolen or posed , have in common in this thematic blog post is ->that the main subject [or at least one of the subjects] in each portrait - IS seated on the FLOOR.

{Besides the obvious definition of "floor", I am also including [for  purposes of this post] the basketball hardcourt, the football turf,  the volleyball court, lawns, hallways, driveways, lanais, living room floors, lobbies, corridors and ->STAIRS  [among other things] }

Just trying to mix and match seemingly unrelated images
to create a  "Mosaic of Moments" - { worth viewing }.
