Mga Kaibigan Kong Galing USTe

Tambay Muna Kayo sa Blog Ko

Kaliwa --->Kanan
Delfin Ray Dioquino / Nazi Castro / Jenzine Alcantara /
Kristelle Ann Batchelor / Jaime Campos / Sherwin Valdeleon /

{ nakakabuntong-hininga .....}

Napakamportante talaga na komportableng komportable
sa akin,  ang mga kinukunan ko.

Enjoy LAGI "magshoot" !

Ateneo vs UST - Round 2

August 30 - SMART Araneta
Kiefer Tames the Tigers - Again

[#16] Fonso Gotladera streches to try to block [#20] Karim Abdul.

[#4] Nico Elorde challenges the King Tiger [#20] Karim Abdul.

Just feel like posting two of my favorites from the ADM-UST match, to lead the few Decent Action Images in this post.

As expected, Karim Abdul, Aljon Mariano, and Louie Vigil have to lead the Tigers and hope to survive this one, despite Kevin Ferrer's [Incredolously unlucky to have to miss the rest of Season 77, due to his disabled non-shooting hand  being injured in training] absence.

But with The Phenom shooting 45% from the field, and Ateneo, teamwise, shooting 41.82% and UST shooting 38.98% from the field - the chances for a UST W become slim to none.

Kiefer on the Clutch
Ravena's 10-point 4th Qtr points ultimately seal the fate of the
"Ferrer-less Tigers"
FYI - Kiefer's 13 boards {equal to Karim's}
and 23 points -earns him a double-double !

Newsome [above-dribbling] and Elorde [below-#4] score 14 and 7 points, respectively.

With Gotladera missing ALL his 3 attempts, Pessumal and Elorde scoring below double figures -- rookie [#17] {below left} John Apacible's 7 markers,
[#18] {below right} Gideon "G-Boy" Babilonia's 3, and [#13] Arvin Tolentino's 6 [no photo]  -- of the bench - couldn't have come at a better time.

[#8]  Isaac Lim tries to steal the ball from [#6] Sheak Sherrif.

Rookie [#17] Henri Subido defends against [#15] Kiefer Ravena.

Final
Ateneo - 69     UST - 58

HIPS

Hidden In Plain Sight

Yes, that's the name of my New Site/Blog -- still in my Mind's Eye or rather, in my Eye's Mind - {Yes, I'd like to think my Eyes have an Intellect all their own - hahaha} - Whatever  ..

Still - I'm considering having a password for it so Only Select Friends can visit it .  They'll probably be the ones featured in the site {Portrait wise and Behind-the-Scenes wise}  - AND those I DO know who freguent this blog.

Thing is, tho, this one might be "IFFY" for me, and puts me in  a dilemna of sorts - meaning - The portraits will be Very, Very Personal [It's just my style, that's all] ergo - it might, or probably WILL reveal too much of myself .......  Now, does that make sense, guys ???  Whatever - Just Sharin my initial thoughts here .....

Yes,  I have the material - AND - I constantly ADD to that select private collection of Beautiful Portraits ---  but something is still holding me back -
{for now } .....

Just Thinking out loud, guys - specifically referring to you "guys" who I know freguent this blog ---You know who you are --- I know WHO you are !

Basta - When I finally put it up - I'll text you "guys" - and give you the password -

Just Keep it Confidential.

Sui Generis

A Blast from my
Colorful Black & White
Past

Perf de Castro was the Lead Guitarist
for the orig River Maya
[along w/ Bamboo & Rico Blanco]

YES, I took this LIVE photo of River Maya at the Folk Arts Theatre [1995 !].

Shot this image with a Nikkormat SLR film camera.

Used 35mm ASA 400 Kodak Tri-X Black & White Film.

Processed the film myself.

I then, HAND-COLORED THE 35mm Black & White negatives,
with transparent paint - tediously applying the paint on the
"non-emulsion side" of the negatives, using needles, toothpicks, and a "Triple O" brush.

Went to a reputable custom lab and had them make an analogue color print from my "Hand-Colored Black & White Negative".

Was able to preserve an original print for myself {Perf de Castro himself ordered a "16 X 20" color blow-up of the image].

Scanned the analogue print on a flatbed scanner - ergo this JPEG file
 [watermarked for obvious reasons].

----------------
Those were the days, when I'd actually go on tour w/ Bamboo--River Maya /
Cookie Chua--Color it Red / Wency Cornejo--After Image / Basti Artadi--Wolfgang /
Medwyn Marfil--True faith - and some other bands that never made it quite as big.

Have actually posted this image, alongside some Cookie Chua--Color it Red \ LIVE photos - sevX over in my ORIG blog ---> [brosigonzales.blogspot.com], and in this one too [maybe a year or two ago].

AND I do know for a fact, that every now and then - there will be First-Time visitors to this blog, who can easily conclude that I'm just all about Sports Photography - which simply ISN'T true.

I taught myself photography ------- started with Black & White Available Light Portraiture - and Darkroom Lab Work ------- the "old school" way. I didn't have the conveniences of Auto-Focus and Instant image Preview {to make on-the-spot adjustments} and being able to shoot hundreds, even thousands of images with a bundle of SD or CF cards.

At least, I can truly say - that I have the Best of Both Worlds  - Analogue AND Digital - in my pocket.

Yes, one has to continually adjust, and keep pace with technology -
STILL, Technology IS ONLY a TOOL -
HOW one USES it IS the TRUE Measure of one's SkillZ AND ArtistrY.
