NU Bulldogs Now at 6-0
With the thrashing of the Arellano University, the Bulldogs now lead the pack with a 6-0 W-L card. Alfred Aroga, NU's Big Rookie, scores 22 points and is comlemented by by Rodolfo Alejandro's 12 pts and Denice Villamor's 10 pts. Eric Altamirano's boys certainly are, beyond a doubt, one of the teams to beat this Pre-Season [They are the Defending Champs.]
As expected James Forrester [#8] [in photo above, vs Parks] and Nards Pinto [#15] -[no photo] lead the Arellano charge. To add to his 22 big points Aroga hauls down 15 boards [6 offensive]. What's more NU registers a 52% field goal clip. [AU's is 36%.] In the charity lane - NU converts 78% while SU manages 48%
Keith Agovida [#13] fakes Aroga [#15] as Denice Villamor stays close.
Aroga intimidates Agovida, who ends up having the ball
hit the bottom of the backboard. [above and below]
AU's Prince Caperal [#12] streches over NU's Jeoffrey Javillonar [#5]
Bobby Ray Parks [#2] fails to stop Jame Forrester [#8]
from scoring point blank.
NU registers a total of 7 blocks - AU has only 1 [Prince Caperal]. Parks' one of two blocks is seen in the two-frame sequence [above and below]. This one is against a driving Gio Jalalon [#6]
Gotcha !
This loss gives AU a 4-2 W-L card.
