2013 FilOil Flying V Basketball Tournament
May 25, Saturday
Arena, San Juan

Red Warriors  vs  Green Archers
[Just One Helluva Game !!]

Randomly arranged action sequences follow:

I just have a blast watching those college boys in red and green fight tooth and nail for every loose ball !!.  I do distinctly remember the Red Warriors, though, more often than, not controlling their offensive boards [UE hauls down 17 offensive boards - DLSU manages only 11]. I believe that as a major factor in UE's W.

Tang Ina !!  Kung basketbol lang ang paguusapan
Da Best talaga pag Nagpupukpukan !!

Charles Mammie [#12] [13 hard earned points in 27 minutes]

Robert Bolick [#23] [fr LSGH] misses on this drive.
He does convert on his lone 3-point attempt though,
Bolick - [3 pts in 15 minutes]

Norbert Torres [#6] leads his team with 12 markers in 27 minutes on the floor. He sweats bullets for each and every goal.

Anatomy of a Turnover
Van Opstal loses possession to a UE double -team
[4-image sequence follows]

Another UE double-team in the persons of Vinci Pujante [#4]
and Adrian Santos [#9] forces Torres to loose control of the ball.

Perkins wins out on this one vs Jay-ar Sumido.
-----------

Roi Sumang's and Jay-ar Sumido's 4th Qtr perimeter shots prove to be the crucial points that cushion a shaky UE lead.  A drive by Chris Javier and med J [no photos] by Roi Sumang in the dying seconds finally seal the  W for the Red, Red Warriors. [three images follow below]

Who Wouldda Thought ??

Woo Hoo!!
