A Tear and A Smile - [Lots of it, Actually]

For the past three years or so, the weekends [sometimes even weekdays - Yes, I've experienced "5-day weekends", even "7-day weekends" at one time or another] have seen me in some sports venue, school, university, field, stadium [indoor, outdoor - what ev], arena, track, pathway, trail, circuit [in MManila, outside MManila, and overseas]- shooting sports [or sports related events]. I'd like to think that the next 48 weekends of 2013 won't be any different. It's ONLY X'mas, New Year, All Saint's Day, Lent that has made me stay put at home [never really got a sick at all last 2012 !! - except for the "occasional" [hardly] migranes ->2-3X tops last year? and some bad, bad "daze" when I got sad or depressed --- Ha! Boo Hoo Hoo] -

Suffice it to say - I'm looking forward to a year filled with more sports [fingers crossed] events enriched with more soulful portraiture.

One can barely notice the glistening tear [of joy] falling from this Pasargad booter's right eye. They had just won their semis match vs the Archers [in dramatic - almost controversial fashion - no less]

Now, it's Sunday morning, and i'm just about to leave for Ateneo, to shoot UAAP Football - and I have , already a "decent, healthy bundle" of sports JPEGs from the past week [iba pa yon portraits ko - actually I had a very short [whatta crush!!] portrait shoot [3 hours lang - Mwa ha ha!] [not 2 be posted at all] last Tuesday] from which I could pick images from [good for several posts!] - for this blog . . .

Chieffy Caligdong [bottom] whoops it up after scoring the Archers 1st goal vs Pasargad. Less than 5 minutes later Giovanni Sempron [seen here w his hands on Chieffy] scores the Archers' 2nd goal. This was very early in the First Half - BUT - Guess who won that Semis Knockout match ?

Sure, it's great to be able to craft great action shots from every single match I attend but - it is the Behind-the-Scenes images that make my day - images that are sometimes even harder to create - mostly - even very simple snaps of people smiling - - -
