Game Faces

  

The First of March saw the Ateneo Blue Eaglets get their Baptism of Fire - in the UAAP Finals. Facing the experienced Defending UAAP Champions NU Bullpups, the Boys in Blue managed to stay close to the Bullpups, but whnever the score would be in the 20s, they would simply "lose flight", so to speak.  As a result, the Defending Champs handily swept Game #1 {3-0} of the Finals Series.

Notice the disparity in the demeanor, manifested in these few tight shots, of these Ateneo and NU High School and College athletes  .......

...... more so evident with the stolen shots [below] of several Ateneo Lady Eagles and NU Lady Bulldogs. [All images in this post were taken DURING time-outs and dead-ball situations/lulls within sets] [All my Post-Game Images will be released in another post]

I was challenged, taking these "game portraits" [if I may call them that] - I had fun too.  I'd love to take more on the next playdate.

You Die-Hards know who these athletes are - No need for caps - OK ? I'll let the facial expressions speak for themselves.

  

Former Perpetual College Libero Jheck Dionela [Two-time NCAA Champion !] came, to cheer for the Junior Bullpups and the Lady Eagles or? the Lady Bulldogs ?? - Whatever.  Former NU Libero Jen Reyes [Shakey's V-League Champ] also came to enjoy the games.

Actually caught Jen, as she congratulated and hugged Ateneo Libero Denden Lazaro, as Den was exiting the court.  Luckily, both Jen n' Den gave me a few seconds, and smiled for a snapshot or two.
