Mariano leads UST in rebounding, along with Karim Abdul, they have 7 apiece. Mariano also follows Ferrer's 14 pts w/ 12 of his own. The Tigers outrebound the Bulldogs 47-39.
Teng scores only 8 pts. He hauls down 5 boards
Gutsy Joshuia "Gelo" Alolino [#4] [above] and Bobby Ray Parks [#15] [below] score double figures for NU. Alolino has 17 while Parks has 14. Both combine for 11 boards [Alolino-7] [Parks-4].
Emmanuel Mbe [#14] [above, right] puts in 8 pts as Karim Abdul [#20] [above, right & below, left] puts in 7. [Mbe-9 rebounds, Abdul 7].
Teng [#16] [above right] and Daquiaog [#6] [below] combine for only 10 markers, both Tigers failing to reach double figures.
UST is able to take 68 attempts [8 more than NU] and the Tigers convert 25 of them, to register a 36.8% shooting clip. The Bulldogs make good 20 of their 60 attempts to register a lower 33.3% clip.
The NU faithful get a big scare after a bad fall by Parks [sometime in the last quarter] which has him writhing in pain. Fortunately, it isn't as bad as it looks - Bobby Ray is able to return - after a few minutes.

The UST win forces a knockout match [to be held on Sept.28, Saturday], wherein the winner of that game will take a Finals slot and will battle the winner of the Final Four showdown FEU and DLSU -- for the UAAP Championship.
