"It Happens" ... Minsan ....

... di pa ako nakaka"compose" o nakaka "tweak" ng "exposure settings" ko    ...

Nauunahan na ako ng mga
Kukuhanin  ko !
 [ another Taglish post ]

OK Lang !  Basta shoot na lang agad  ... ha ha ha !

Yes, it happens, even if not that often.
My subjects being aware that I'm just about to take a photo of them, unexpectedly ! ,in the wink of an eye, suddenly pose, animate, or whatever .

Happened to me twice at the MoA earlier this evening.

The first instance was just before the Ateneo-UP match, and the second time was long minutes after the La Salle-UE match [midweek UAAP Doubleheader].

Luckily, i manged a decent image from both scenarios.

Scenario 1

I was pretty much in position for a pre-match, candid, B-t-Scenes twosome of Nina Alavia and Lyane Ocampo   ... waiting for the background to be clear of "PBs"  [photo bombers] - when Nina, ina awink / all-of-a sudden !  flashed a "V" sign, along w a kengkoy face !

I immed lifted my DSLR and whizzed of 4 quick frames - Luckily, my DSLR was in servo mode.  My exposure setting  was not 100% spot on yet, prob an f-stop under ....  but after chimping, seconds later - i noticed that i got way with this one - ok lang - whew !

Scenario 2

Jeanine Tsoi, Laura Lehamn just happened to pass the MoA corridors while Alyssa was waiting up for Kiefer, who was finishing up his ambush interviews, just a few meters away.

Had my 100mm attached to my DSLR, and quite easily [me, being very visible, just a meter or two away] the two CSRs noticed me, as Alyssa approached them. [Notice that she is coming from the right, and just turning her head to me, after noticing Laura and Tsoi smiling at me].

Being so accustomed to being photographed by fans, press photogs "on-the-spot"  - I suppose 'it didn't take that much effort on their part to be naturally gracious [kanya naga natural, di ba], and simply "light up".

This photo couldda been more sharp, had I been just a wee bit more steady with my hands, as in given my hands that ever so critical second, to pause, and firm up.  Mind you, such "little habits" often make the diff between a great image and a "lesser" one [i should know better] [tho, i'm not  perfect].

 Anyway. ok lang ..

Now, below, is one taken during those longer minutes I lingered in that corridor.

This time the three ladies had left, and i was chatting with some DLSU alumni - and simply solicited [stole?] a few moments with Patricia Sauler's 4-year old daughter - Brooklyn. {Patricia was also chatting w some DLSU alumni}.

FYI, the ff. portrait, below, was posed - so was the twosome of my friend Lyane and UE CSR Pauline [taken during the dying minutes of the DLSU-UE match].

 Brooklyn  Sauler

Lyane  Ocampo   and   Pauline Versoza

See ALL of you guys on October 1 and 2 ! -
two UAAP Doubleheaders comin' up !

Now - To put a Surprise Twist to this post - If I may ...
A Sui Generis type of portrait -
the type that i like to proudly post ..

An image with Attitude and "Angas" - if one might use the vernacular   ...
[also taken on the MoA Coridors - after Kiefer, Alyssa, Jeanine, and Laura had all left]

Thirdy Ravena

ha ha ha
this type of image  ...   Minsan ....
IT Happens    ....

FYI , the colors are muted [tweaked] here.  The orig, Actual photo, has a yellowish cast, which i find distractingThis version simply appeals to me more.

Hopefully, regardless of the hues [color casts] -> texture, the play of light and shadow, it's nuances and all, the vibe, and soul of this portrait - ALL comdine to show a fine Synergy of Technical AND Artistic -> Photographic SkillZ - di lang Minsan, kundi sana  -> Padalas ng Padalas.
