Letting Go

- throwback images from February 8, 2014 ! -
FEU FERN

Down From the Hill  ......
- a sentimental journey -

Bidding farewell to a season and/or one's college football playing years  ...
impacts, in a way like no other

JJ Matalam can't hold back  ...
[she has just played her last UAAP match]
as Cecille Dayrit consoles

Milka  .... likewise

Gely [bright orange], in her final share
Like JJ Matalam, Milka Romero, and Leah Cruz - this is their final UAAP match.

Bittersweet ?

... ... "will be missing playing {the samahan} with you guys"  ...
{ in so many words, that is one of the things i do overhear
Gely intimate to the rest of the Team }

Cam and Leah [above],
A random mix of 7 steals of Julia, Isay, Jill, JJ, Milka
follow below    ... best left captionless ?

Stolen portraits, human interest imagery [the extreme emotions athletes occasionally have to deal with} - call it what you like ... artsy or not  ...
I trust that the AWFT {and the other teams i've been priveleged  to be up-close-and personal with}, through the years, will continue to appreciatte {not run-of-the-mill} sensitive images like these.

Capturing the vulnerability AND --->humanity of people [w/o offending anyone] is so Challenging, no end.

These images aren't that easy to craft, mind you.

Iba ang deskarte rito.

Now, for a commercial break ......

Nona, with a year or two to play,
shares a moment with their "bunso", Sue.

At the latter part of AWFT dinner, in the Catredilla residence
- Nona "catches" me as I try to steal a close-up

.....  Down to the World
Go I   .....

PS
Hmm, just last night, a former AWFT athlete told me that
Cam Rodriguez, Nona Amoncio, and Jill Caterdilla will be suiting up for the AWFT once more, come February, when UAAP Football, Season 79 commences.

I do know that, Julia Sucgang [who still has one playing year] will not return.

Do correct me if i am wrong, guys
