PBA Governer's Cup Finals - Game 3

July 5, SMART Araneta

When Turnovers Kill
Mixers Outrebound Painters by 13 [52-39]
San Mig Coffee - 78     Rain or Shine - 69

When the Painters finally get a taste of the lead {closing seconds of the 3rd}
 [only by 1 pt.], [to the frenzy of the Rain or Shine faithful] they lapse into a series of turnovers - and San Mig's good ball rotation, complemented by Sangalang's inside moves nets Ian 6 unanswered points, which are followed by twinner from Reavis, then a Barocca basket - putting Cone's Mixers back on top by 9 [sending the Mixers fans wild] - a lead they handily preserve all the way to the final buzzer {made possible by the Painters' poor executions}.

 A putback by [#23] Marqus Blakely [above], and an assist pass to a teammate,
[at point blank range]  [below] nets San Mig Coffee another 4 points - all made possible by 2 of the 18 offensive boards hauled down by the blue shirts.

Hands the down - Game 3's MVP - I [#10] Ian Sangalang .....

.... ably complemnted by balanced scoring from the likes of
[#14] Mark Barroca and [#8] PJ Simon [2 images below]

Post-Game close-ups ....

Game 4 is set for Monday {8 pm}, at the Araneta.

A Win by the Mixers completes a Grand Slam.
It'll be a first for San Mig Coffee - and a second for Tim Cone  ...
---> IF they do win.
Let's Wait and See .....
