Last September 14, 2015 [if my dates are right] the Ateneo Lady Eagles were elimenated by the DLSU Green Archers [1-0] during the UFL Women's Cup semis.

Lady Archer Chelo Hodges eluded her defender and broke away for the game winner [in the dying minutes of the match].

Last February 7, after a gutsy equalizer by Lady Eagle Cam Rodriguez [to knot the score at 2-all] - It appeared that the match would end in a draw.

Come the last, literally !! - 1-2 minutes {again} - Hans Smit's charges stunned the ADMU gallery, with a goal !! --- to the sheer delight [and frenzy] of the DLSU faithful ..... and wounded the egos of the Lady Eagles - Once More

..... Whatta heartbreaker for Bob Manlulo's  AWFT [ to start the Lady Eagles Season 78 UAAP Campaign] - ooh - Ouch !

February 20, Saturday - The Lady Tigers draw first blood, {Cabalan - 66th"} early in the 2nd Half.  The "unholy" specter of a third straight loss starts to cloud the collective psyche of Coach Bob and his staff, and the Lady Eagles  .... or more like an invisible hand slowly starting to choke [and eventually] take the life outta you ....whatever .....

 10 - 9  - 8 - 7 ....minutes and counting, closer and closer to the final whistle  .....     Nona Amoncio drills one in, from inside the box ...... 1 All !! .... {86th"} the Ateneo faithful bursts into frenzy -  { hmmm I said to myself - Talk about simply Never Giving Up --- and - tang-ina, YAN ang puso !!!  } { I THINK we gotta draw here ..}  

Then, just mere minutes later, Cam Rodriguez gets into scoring position - the UST keeper challenges her, lunges towards Cam AND and manages to "grab" the ball with her two hands - but ONLY for a milli-milli-second as Cam Rodrguez kicks it off, sending it going outta bounds BUT manages to save it just before it goes outta bounds, controls it !, and albeit, from an awkward angle - simply drills in the proverbial Game Changer - And ONE !! at that !!  {89th"}

  UST-1    Ateneo-2 !!!

WTF happened !!!!!  USTe ?!

Sure - there were just enough minutes for an equalizer from USTe - but with the Soaring Confidence of the Lady Eagles - the "highly improbable BUT still possible" match draw simply doesn't happen.  

Moi - I was Knocked Out !!  

Talk about Never Giving Up and Dramatic Comebacks !!   ....
Whatta Way to WIN !!!
