Behind-the-Scenes M8

On Court Huddles, & a Few Fan Images
[& Press Con shots]
UE - NU  Match

post presently being updated

The Biggest Fan, Paul Lee, smiles with glee right after
Roi Sumang converts his game winning three.

Joshua Alolino

I can literally FEEL the "kaba' / "takot" [No offense meant - please]
in the NU huddle, particularly in the 4th Qtr.  Just look at the face of Alolino above [even that of Javillonar at the background!] - Dead giveaways! No,No, No ! -- Not that NU couldn't pull it off - It's just one of those tense huddle moments in an [a cardiac game, at that] endgame timeout.
It is during these scenarios where a team's skill, solidarity AND mental toughness is put to the test.

NU Head Coach Eric Altamirano
And such scenarios offer great opps 4  me to capture raw emotion.
Just F______  Love IT !!

Then "insert" an erstwhile cutie newbie [ibang klase ang appeal ni Tricia - mala inosente" What ??! ], NU new c'side rep Tricia Robredo, amidst the under-pressure Bulldogs -  [She's just doin' her job - cool !!]  What an interesting combo of faces to capture.

Bobby Ray Parks
The NU frontman is held to 11 points.

Tricia [a senior at Ateneo] - Now on her 2nd UAAP game coverage

Definitely Not a Walk in the Park for the Bulldogs
- Not w the Red Rarriors around -

 Anybody's Ball Game with a tie at 11.1 ticks to go  !!!  .   .   .
Katz Salao is at the edge of her seat - like everyone else the Coliseum

Roi Releases   .   .   .  fr beyond the arc !!

 Game Over !!!

A proud -  but still humble Coach
[at post game brief]

A relieved Katz Salao [UE c'side rep] has every reason to smile.
Am very happy for U Katz ! & the UE Red Warriors
[in the UE dugout]

Yup - My buddies -> Katz Salo and Stu Balmaceda

Jane Bracher
Always Easy on my Eyes !!

 Moments

I distinctly remember [during the post game interview] when Roi Sumang mentions how "sawang-saw' na raw sila sa laging natatalo date [obviously referring to his first two "struggling" years as a Red Warrior, when the likes of Espiritu, Acuna, Martinez, Zamar, and Paul Lee had already left]- [UE would place either 7th or 6th in the standings] - I sense the stab in his gut, I notice the ever so subtle crack in his voice and that slight wetness in his eyes -  Sigh -  What can I say ??

This young man has faced adversity, head on - like a true Warrior - to get where he is now and to lead Team UE - still coached by Boysie Zamar, and now supported by the likes of Chris Javier, Gino Jumao-As, Ralf Olivares, Lord Casajeros, Adrian Santos  - hopefully - to the Final Four.

UAAP' Season 76' theme is "Greatness Never Ends"
I'm fine with that.
 But let me say   .   .   .

"True Greatness Always Has Humble Beginnings"
