A full two months after CLEAR held a Press Brief at the Rockwell Tent
[June 25], the first ever CLEAR Dream Match finally came to fruition and was witnessed by a huge crowd at the University of Makati Football Field on a clear
[Thank God] Saturday evening.
Team Phil handily won [5-1] over Team James. But the heated competition was tempered by the spirit of cameraderie and true love for, what many call, the beautiful game.
As for me - I honestly don't enjoy football as much as I love watching AND playing hoops - but this this has NEVER prevented me from taking great football images [I was fortunate to fly to Singapore twice last summer to shoot three football matches].
UMak's lighting was just terrible, to say the least. I opted to sacrifice shutter speed to compensate for my tele lens' 5.6 aperture setting [widest for that particular lens]. Anyway, managed some decent images here :
The next three JPEGs show 3 of the 5 goals scored by Team Phil.
If i remember correctly, Phil Younghusband managed 3 goals,
Diop scored one,
and Yannick Tuason scored the fifth goal for Team Phil.

Looks like CLEAR was very much encouraged by the crowd turnout that they're
optimistically looking a year ahead, for another CLEAR All-Star Dream Match.
