Ateneo vs UST
[ADM-68   UST-66]

I lost my an 8Gb CF card during the post game frenzy at the Ateneo-UST game last Sept.15 [the card and action/behind-the-scene images of theat thrilla].  Yesterday, Sunday, Mawi Dagdag [Ateneo Guidon] approached me and handed me that missing CF Card which I'd Given up for lost.  What a relief !! Thank You again Mawi !

Now, we all know who won that match and what came off the UST protest .  .
Anyways, let me share a few more moments from that game.

[as usual, the images are randomly arranged]

Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall -
Who's the Fairest of Them All
Three of the prettiest Ateneo cheerdancers [that's just my own opinion, everybody has their own picks] are in this photo.  I had the fortune of working with three of the ladies here, last July 28, doing close up shots in the Team Bus. This was for a multinational client of my boss. [Perks of my job]

When it's the Eagles vs the Tigers it is A Clash of Titans

 Kevin Ferrer vs Nico Salva

 The Phenom thwarted.

Kiefer Ravena takes an open three - and misses.

But Juami Tiongson grabs the offensive board and drills two !!
and this was during the dying minutes of the match !!

The 11-frame squence below shows the crucial end-game play where Ryan Buenafe is doubled and which results in an Ateneo turnover.  [A non-call infuriates the Ateneo faithful]

Ferrer instinctively sprints [I don't have a photo from this point on]  to the UST basket [at which point Norman Black, and the Ateneo faithful, are up in arms screaming for a travelling call, which never comes]

The two consecutive non-calls is what prompts Coach Norman Black to storm
to mid-court to launch a verbal tirade against the refs [refer to an earlier post for a photo of "Stormin' Norman"].  He is eventually restrained.

A few more random images here:

 Jeric Teng elevates.

Another mad scramble for possesion [which results in a jumpball]

Aljon Mariano loses control.

Jeric Teng looks for space.

- Nobody does it like Buenafe does -

The 2 -frame sequence below shows Ryan Buenafe using great body control while driving from the right {against Aljon Mariano [#10]}.  The ball acrually trickled for a micro-micro second before eventually trickling in.  And 1 !!

This Blue Eagle die-hard does what she can to help her favored Eagles convert their charities.

Nico Elorde goes baseline.

Kiefer gives a High-Five to Nico, after the latter scores, but the Phenom has eyes on the back court as the Tigers are already throwing in.

Karim Controls.

O H

 M Y

G O D !!!

Sophia Bsilio [middle] can't contain her joy.

- Day of the Eagle -
They finish the elims on Top - Number One !
