UAAP Thrillers - Part 4

Faces
in the Huddle [and on the sidelines]

DLS-Adu match - [Aug.14]
NU-FEU match -  [Aug.14]
UE-UST match  - [Aug.15] matches

- randomly mixed - literally jumbled up -

Behind the Archers by one point [70-69],
and with 1.8 seconds to go, I am in the Falcon huddle  .   .   .

Am crouching, while Coach Leo Austria is trying to "come up with SOMETHING to save the day for Adamson" and Rodney Brondial is seated in front of me, hoping too, for some small "1.8 second micro-miracle" that has to start with a matching "miracle play" - for lack of a better word.  [We all know stranger things have happened] Dude, Doesn't get any tougher than this !

LAST Adamson Timeout / Huddle

End-Game FEU  huddle

After the refs make the decision to give ball possession to UE [with18.4 ticks left] the UE Red Warriors now know they have a decent chance of punctuating their comeback with a go-ahead [potential game-winning] basket - And One  !!!

Charles Mammie breathes a sigh of relief. [below]

\
With the Warriors having ball possession and behind the Tigers by one [66-67]  .   .   . I am in the Red Warrior huddle [seated] beside Roi Sumang  .   .   .

LAST UE timeout w/18.4 Left  -  It IS Crunch Time

[after the ref gives ball possession to UE -
as a result of [UST Tiger] Ferrer's error]

Tricia Robredo - w/ Maurice Porter [#20] in front of her
[an NU assistant coach to her right] and Kyle Neypes [#16] behind her.

Abigail Altamirano
[Coach Eric Altamirano's daughter]

"Lagot ka kay Mammie"
- As printed on a T-shirt Charles wears before the Aug.15 match -

Weeks previous, in the 1st round of the UAAP,
Charles wore a T-shirt which read
"The Mammie is Back"

Mind you, crafting close-up images isn't that easy, let alone trying to accumulate a handsome number [action and B-t-Scenes images combined] [every playdate] - tweaking the color density, tweaking the midtones, [cropping some - occasionally] adjusting the contrast, and watermarking each and every one of over a few hundred blogworthy images at times  - And Knowing I will only use less than ->less than half ! - It IS just what I do - [A habit I intend to keep].

PS  .   .   .

Totally Winded Warrior
During one of the 4trh Qtr timeouts Roi Sumang slouches and slumps on the bench - practically gasping for air - Totally Winded.  "This guy's practically running on fumes !" - I say to myself.  Wo ! Gotta to take an image of the moment !

Sweet Gesture
In the same timeout [where the image, of Roi {above}, is from], UE Courtside Reporter Katz Salao gently places her hand on Roi Sumang's head.  It is what it is - a sincere, innocent, sweet gesture - and if there was any way I could have photographically interpreted that moment better  -  - well, it is just a fleeting gesture - I don't know - It just happens - so - I photograph it.

Now, How often does this happen  ??
So Selina, Judy, Bea, Kristelle, Mich, Ina, Tricia  - Kya niyo niyan ??

 [Kidding !]
