Tricia's Tears

...so take a good look at my face
you see my smile seems out of place
if you look closely
 it's easy to trace
the tracks of my tears ....

Yes, the lyrics above are from an old romantic {about heartbreak} ballad popularized by Smokey Robinson  {i think}.  Now, whats' it doin here in this blog ???

Fact is - I just want a catchy intro  - and if it turns out TH - OK lang -
the subject of this post is tears [though not in the romantic context]

IN this post are several stolen images catching NU Courtside Reporter Tricia Robredo, on courtside, as she starts to tear up  while watching her beloved Bulldogs edge closer to losing Game 1 of the UAAP Finals, at the hands of the NU Tamarraws.

There's still  MORE THAN 4 MINUTES TO PLAY, truth be told, when I catch Tricia's eyes start to water ...

The BRIEF scenario I'm trying to share here, is FEU Tam rookie Francis Tamsi's  CLUTCH rainbow trey from the right corner which increases FEU's then 5-pt. lead{64-59}, to 8 points {59-67} - and Tricia Robredo's subsequent reaction - Her Tearing .....

 FEU Tam Tamsi Trey !!!

FEU - 67   NU-59  !!

There was Still Enough Time ! for a Bulldog comeback, actually,
even after the Tams erected that 8-pt. margin ! - It's just that the Boys from Morayta seemed to score on the clutch everytime the Bulldogs would start a run - so -Tricia - - - -She was just freaking out [in a  manner of speaking],  dreading the worst - an NU Loss which "seemed" to be likely, during those tense moments
{ tense for NU AND FEU fans alike ! }.

I stole the four images here {1 above, 3 below}  AFTER that Tamsi Trey
{ I actually had been glancing at Tricia every now and then, during that Exciting 4th Qtr - hoping to CAPTURE some emotion  }

I could see the reflections w/ my 400mm lens,
from the other side of the court ...

Here, notice Tricia's eyes start to water ....
Some tears probably eventually trickled - but by that time -
I was so too pre occupied shooting the athletes

Mind you - these images were all taken in the spirit of journalism AND
in no way are they intended to offend anyone.

We all know that NU even came as close to 3 points - in the last minute of the match - before FEU finally put the game beyond reach - to take Game #1 by 11  -  {59-48}.

- joining in the singing the alma mater song of NU -
