from Diliman to Cubao
Last Thursday afternoon I went to a UAAP football match at FEU, Diliman then visited the ONE FC Weigh-In at MoA Arena at 7 pm+ [and had a wonderful dinner w some media friends after]. Friday saw me cover the ONE FC: Warrior's Way, a Major MMA Event, at the MoA Arena. Saturday, I went to Ateneo for two UAAP Mens' football matches. Yesterday, I returned to FEU, Diliman for a UAAP Womens' football match, then scooted to SMART Araneta, to try to catch two PBA Philippine Cup Matches.
Here are some "Nutshell" images from yesterday, Sunday,
the 7th of December.
Ateneo's Kimberlee Jimenez accidentally does the unthinkable - scores an own-goal, giving the UST a 1-0 lead {63rd minute}.
The Lady Tigers whoop it up in the photos above and below.

and [#3] Sheen Ramores - raising their arms in unison.

Trying mightily as they could the Lady Eagles are not able to equalize, let alone take the lead. The match ends with UST winning by one as Ateneo absorbs another [1-0] loss.They lost to UP too, [1-0] sometime last week .

FYI - Both Marie and Jena each have twin sisters. Marie has Marice [not in the team this season] while Jena has Jae [#9] with her on the team.
I have to leave FEU to catch the PBA at Araneta, thus missing the UP-FEU Womens' Football Match - but not without stealing a pre-match image of my favorite UP Lady Maroon [and village-mate] .....
I've had the opp to shoot action images of this former UAAP Rookie of the Year, as far back as February of 2009.
I've always admired the young lady {wish she were my NIECE, actually !}
She's a Real Go-Getter. I find her very, very attractive - I enjoy photographing her. PERIOD
I've never really had the chance to even have a one-on-one Photo Shoot with Cristina, after All these years, considering - I know her mom and two older brothers, and she lives just about 150 or so meters from where I stay !
Whatever - maybe I'll just let that photo opp present itself.
BTW- In the candid shot above - I just love her smile. PERIOD
Rain or Shine scores 36 points in the 1st Quarter - that's 3 points a minute,
whilst limiting the Gin Kings to 22.
Ginebra has to bleed red for every point - until midway in the 3rd Quarter, when the Gin Kings finally get their groove and start executing stops of their own, and engineering a rally.
{ Above - Slaughter is blocked } { Below - Aguilar has to release off-balanced, with barely a good angle on the basket }
If I remember correctly, at the height of the Ginebra rally, when RoS' once big lead of 20+ points is reduced to 6, JR Quinahan fakes a corner three, which Mamaril bites into, and as Billy is on his way down, JR gingerly steps aside and advances a step or two closer to the basket for an open mid range J which hits Nothin' but Net !
This puts RoS' lead back to 8, after which, Ginebra actually NEVER draws any closer to reducing RoS' lead - until the Final Buzzer sounds.
It's more fun taking images of the CSRs and match MVPs - while thay are Off-Cam. Call them outtakes or Behind-the-Scenes images - they are the ones that I always favor [10X over, even] over posed shots [Not that there is anything wrong with such]
