New Kids on the Blog

Which Comes First ?
 Words  or  Pictures ?
 Thoughts  or  Feelings ? .....

Darkness of Night or Brightness of Day

Give me Shadows, Give me Light

then

Listen to What my Heart Wants to Say ....

 - untitled so far -

{ Andrea Y. Lanuza with her Twins }

Saturday, the 2nd of April

I arrived punctually for a football match at the Rizal Stadium, did my job  [fulfilled the tasks expected of me] - scooted [hungrily and impatiently] to Greenbelt, for a dinner - "loaded up", dude - I was Starving ! -then rushed to Mckinley Stadium, at BGC ---

--- Hopefully, to photograph my nephew, in action {DLSU v NU}- praying for, at the least, to catch five minutes or so, of action  ..... Also, to greet my friends from the Ateneo and DLSU Womens' Football Teams {who by the time I would arrive, would have concluded their 2nd Round match} ....possibly get some SOULful snaps [of them, of course]  ..

  .... and yes, of course - the ones of my nephew - possibly complemented by shots of the young man, singing DLSU's alma mater song ....  and maybe some FRESH, NEW impromptu B-t-Scenes imagery - one way or the other ....

 When i entered the McKinley Stadium premises, the DLSU Green Archers had just finished their alma mater song - Too late.

At the gallery - Bumped into Chelo Hodges and exchanged a a few pleasantries,   Congratulated Kyla Inqig,  Greeted my brother - then trotted to the DLSU team,
 to connect w/ my nephew and get some decent {hopefully evocative}  portraits.

Hmm ... negative there, just managed a few simple snaps [di puwede pilitin minsan, kahit gusto ko]  ....

'Twas after i managed to take a few 2some snaps of Archers' game-changers Greggy Yang and Nico Villacin that I decided to ask my friend Aldo Manzano to pose with Greggy and Nicco ...

.... somehow, amidst all this "socializing" - i ended up meeting and conversing w/Greggy's two brothers, and meeting Greggy's two sisters [one of which, Andrea, just happened to have her twin daughters in tow.

U know me, guys - in a matter of seconds - I was taking on the-spot, available light portraits of Andrea's twin daughters.

NOT that I came up with a whole series of  Beautiful Portraits [I would not have minded at all, Truth Be Told]     BUT,  with the limited time i was conscious of  ----

 {na-abutan pa nga ako ng pagpatay ng ilaw sa field !!}

---- I borrowed a few moments from the Yang siblings and just, literally ! a few, few images later - and just as the lights were shut down - Luckily !!  I had already captured in my DSLRs [albeit so few], some on-the-spot available light portraits that were [I felt] "SOULful enough to share" in this blog.

Fact is, i managed  --> ONLY TWO decent "Mother & Twin Daughters close -ups"
{ yes, i  managed sixsome shots of the Yangs, too and there are 2-3 more images of this threesome on-file right now - But I am fine with these two, blogwise } - pwidi na rin !

---  albeit Awkward, Haphazard even ! & Imperfect  ---
Still Love It !

 ha ha ha !

This was, literally, from my last click of the shutter -
a second or two b4 the field went totally DARK !
 {90% of the lights being shut down}

It's just what I love [dare] to do  ....

PS
Without a Doubt, I have so, so many, much, much more better images [portraits] to complement that 4-line-poem above  {below the post title}

It's just that - 'twas after casually browsing through those few "April 2 McKinley B-t-Scenes portraits", and eventually picking these two featured threesome portraits -
 that the words simply came to thought - ergo -

- the poem and the "mother w/ twins" portrait go together in this post.

Soon enough, knowing myself, I'll use the same lines once more [in a different post]
 next time, tho - complementing them with other "more appropriate" imagery.
