Bamboo
[and the best from worlds - analogue & digital]

Bamboo - 2013
June 8, Saturday
Arena, San Juan
Halftime Break of Master All-Star Basketball Game

When River Maya [then] -> [Bamboo, Nathan Azarcon, Perf de Castro,
Rico Blanco] had their First [one and only - I believe] concert at the Folk Arts Theatre -  I was there - as a fan and as a photographer.

I used Black & White ASA 400 Kodak 35mm Film [and a Nikon SLR] to shoot the concert, processed the film [developed it myself], pushed the film, meaning "overcooked" the film in the developing tank, dried the Black & White Negatives THEN applied a variety of transparent "colored chemicals" on the surface of the 35mm film frames THEN brought the film to a reputable custom printer THEN had them print [8 x 10]s on color paper THEN scanned [early 2000 na] the color prints in order to have JPEG files.

 Bamboo - 1995
River Maya's first concert at the
Folk Arts Theatre

The end result is what you see above and below - Two color prints from a Black & White Negative !!  Notice the "smudge patterns" [tiny bubbles {black}  which were a result of " mano-mano"/manual application of the chemicals with toothpicks and needles and "000" brushes on the film surface]    on both prints.

Do you know how small a single 35mm film frame is ??
  It is 24 x 36 millimeters.

Have several  "Colored Prints from Black & White Negatives"  and ALL of them are Rock Images - posted somewhere in my first blog brosigonzales.blogspot.com [the subjects being ->Perf de Castro, Cookie Chua, Color it Red, Wolfgang]  - If one would care to "make urirat" that blog.  Maybe I'll repost a few soon - in this blog ? Why not Huh ?
